Just as the snowstorm commenced this evening, we arrived for our reservation. Waited a painless & almost pleasant half hour at the bar, where we were offered a series of carefully-choreographed appetizers preventing both starvation & complaint.
RW-wise I had the quail appetizer, excellent & ample; my companion had the apple (also reportedly excellent, though smaller in portion). I had the risotto entree, fantastik & another generously-apportioned dish. Upon our usual taste-swap, my partner & I agreed his monkfish was poor competition. Both desserts (he pear, I chocolate) were v.v. fine.
We had the wine pairing, which was also v.v. fine. Though I'd advise sticking with the chardonnay, or at least the whites, throughout if you do indulge.
