We went to RCC with a bunch of friends this weekend. The food was excellent, but there were a number of strange things about the place--they were having a private party upstairs, and the only way to get upstairs was to go outside (into the freezing cold). So there was a lot--a LOT-- of waitstaff running in and out, which was distracting and irritating (lots of blasts of cold air, despite a baffler).
The front of the house doesn't appear to be up to speed with the back of the house either--the food was really, really good, but the service was so-so. She took our orders, but that was basically it. If we wanted refills on drinks, we had to flag her down. She could have made a lot more money if she'd been on top of our refills. So hopefully management will correct that.
Anyway, I can recommend the hangar steak, the miner's frites, all of the soups, the salad with fried goat cheese dumpling, shepherd's pie--all excellent. We will definitely go back.
