Rockridge Out & About 2010 short review

hhc | Sep 26, 2010 07:01 PM

First time to Rockridge Out & About Festival Sunday 9/26/10. It was a Spare The Air Day and I took Rockridge Bart over. It's right outside once you exit Bart so very convenient for everyone.

FREE chef demos all day long. I stayed most of the day here. Ceviche, butterscotch pot de creme, Lobster bisque soup, Tara's ice cream, red polenta w/ meat, learning to make pie crust, I left after that. It was very interesting and samples after each demo was AWESOME!!

Lots of good eats it seems. Picnic In the Streets - Cactus Taqueria, Hapuku Fish Shop, Market Hall Bakery, etc.

Oliveto Porchetta sandwich $8 + $2 Lemonade - will try that next time.

Wood Tavern was open - I should have tried the Pastrami Sandwich $10 - next time.

Worth checking out next year.

Did other Chowhounds go?
