Driving back to PHilly, on Route 130 South, looking for a meal, not chow, we passed a nice looking diner, and didn't see another for a long while. Getting close to home we saw "Big Ed's Barbecue", near Burlington, N. J.
Place was friendly, and fairly crowded, but ribs were appalling. Dry, no juice or flavor; pleasant barbecue sauce that was obviously slathered on pre-steamed meat at the last minute.
Prices reasonable for high quality, but not for what was offered. How do places like this attract regulars?
