First I want to thank the poster who recommended The River Company for aged steaks. My spouse and I shared an appetizer of beer and garlic shrimp (very tasty but a little overpriced), we each had a small salad (excellant), and then we split a 12 oz sirloin. The sirlloin was totally devoid a fat. Thus a 12 oz portion was plenty. As we were eating my spouse said "this is the best steak I have ever eaten". Sadly, I had to agree. We rarely eat steak out, as the steaks I grill from Whole Foods can't be beat. However, I tip my hat to the griill masters at River Company. Lastly, they offer 16 oz beers from $3.75 to $4.25 Or you can do 4 oz samplers for $1.00 each. We did 6 samplers. This was great. We got the to try 4 brews. My favorite was peachcot ale. A pale ale with hints of peach and apricot. I would never have tried such a thing but for a buck, why not. Also very good was the wheat beer, my spouse's favorite. The porter was good but I have had others more to my liking.
