Heard about this place from a friend and then saw a decent review from Zim so I checked it out last night. I wasn't disappointed. I too liked the chips and bean dip. I had the tinga dinner, which for somebody who doesn't like things too spicey (me) it was perfect. That probably means it's not spicey enough for most, though. Cooked in a tomato sauce and served with rice. The rice was great, mexican rice with a strong garlic flavor. I also had a chicken tamale which definitely passed the test and got some extra credit for a nice, sublte, smoked flavor.
Everyone who works there seems very nice as well and service is pretty good (we had to wait a bit for the check but our check coincided with a small rush of new diners).
Servings are a bit on the small side but the prices reflect that as everything is very inexspensive.
