I'm looking for the best rice pudding to go in Manhattan. Not from a restaurant, but rather from a deli or small grocery store that has it pre-packaged in roughly $2 portions, so you can pick some up quickly for dessert at home or work. There is a surprising amount of variety out there, some good and some just awful.
My current favorite is a $2 cup from the large deli on the south side of 41st Street between Madison and Park. I tend to like the creamy, less eggy kind, maybe with a sprinkling of cinnamon, and not too sweet, with rice with a bit of a bite.
