Drinks at bar at 6PM for 10 of us. Excellent service w/separate checks. Sat down at 6:30 overlooking the plaza w/virtually all rooms quickly filling w/RW patrons & several tables of non-RW folks. Dinner service prompt & attentive throughout w/frequent refills, courses cleared & tablewear replaced. Excellent bread basket w/herbed slices, crusty rolls, etc. kept replentished. For me, Ap: Grilled summer veg salad w/goat cheese bruschetta-Onions, peppers, eggplant, tomatoes tossed w/herbed balsamic vinaigrette & sprinkled w/grilled corn kernels. Plate included a goat cheese bruschetta seasoned w/fresh oregano (this was a very generous ap, esp.liked the roasted corn kernals), En: Brasied beef brisket w/chopped summer salad & horseradish creme fraiche-beef is braised in red wine served sliced w/horseradish crème fraiche made w/thinly sliced scallions. Salad,mixture of chopped cucumbers, squashes, beets, & green olives. Plate included garlicky mashed potatoes made w/EVOO(lots of great flavors in this entree w/ea discernable), Ds: Chocolate espresso torta w/berries & cream. Portions were ample, flavors fresh & temps correct. No complaints from our party, although I'd probably order a seafood dish next time, just can't do bluefish.
