Review: Hardy's Bavarian, Sunnyvale

A group of us ended up going here for a friend's birthday last Friday eve. It was not the sort of place I would have picked, but it wasn't bad. Overall, the food was excellent, but the service was very poor.

A reservation had been made, but it took 10-15 minutes to get seated (and there was plenty of space). The server forgot one person's beer order, and didn't come back to take food orders for a long time. Once we got our food, however, we were pretty happy. I had the Kase Spatzle, spatzle with veggies and cheese, and others got various chicken, beef, and pork dishes that they all enjoyed. The appetizers were great, including the sausage sampler and the baked brie (yum).

I can't speak as to the authenticity of the food, but it was well-prepared, tasty, and filling. It was also nice that they had several vegetarian options on the menu. I'm not a beer fan, but those who were said that the beer options were very good.

There are also several reviews on the website of the Mountain View Voice, mv-voice.com.
