I'm coming to New York City by myself for vacation over Thanksgiving (this will be my fourth year doing so) and would love some new places to try. I have reservations at Le Bernardin and Jean Georges and am waitlisted at Per Se. I wanted to eat at Chef's Table at Brooklyn Fare, but they, apparently, don't allow reservations for one person.
I love splurging when I'm there; however, I also love finding gems within the neighborhoods. For instance, I'll have breakfast at Ess-a-Bagel and will eat Thanksgiving dinner in Chinatown. One of my favorite discoveries was the truffled egg toast at 'ino in the Village, and I was devastated to find out they closed (luckily, it sounds like one of their other restaurants has it on the menu). Another great discovery was the ricotta toast at The Smile. Last year, I also fit in dinner at both Totto and Babbo.
So, now that you have some insight into my dining habits while I'm in town, does anyone have some great recommendations for me? Thanks so much!
