A Second Request: Recommendations For Sunday Buffet Brunch?

Hoc | Jan 31, 2001 10:38 PM

I notice that someone below posted a request for Sunday Brunch recommendations, but got no responses. On my first N.O. trip in 1996, I was lucky enough to stay over two Sundays. On the first, I had brunch at the Westin, which was very good, and featured great music. The seafood was extremely fresh, there was a lot of variety and something like four separate buffet areas, the sauces were sublime, the dessert table was spectacular. Not only omelettes and pasta, but bananas foster, was made to order. I later learned that the Westin was the Sunday brunch favorite of locals. On the second Sunday, I had brunch at the Marriott, which was also good, but seemed more cafeteria style and less tasty. We went back to the Westin in 1999, and it was still very good. The Westin has since become the Wyndham, and we had brunch there last year, which was good, but not as spectacular as it had been.

The long and short of it is that we are looking for a new great place for Sunday Buffet Brunch in New Orleans. Does anyone have any recommendations? If you could do only one Sunday Buffet Brunch, where would it be?

Any suggestions are appreciated.
