Hi again and thanks to all who replied to my question about rice bar and nectar... probably will go to niether!
A little more detail about what we are looking for:
My sister and I will be in for a quick Friday-Sunday visit to see the LOTR musical at the Princess of Wales theater on Sat afternoon.
I have Celiac disease which means I need to eat only 'gluten-free' meaning no wheat, barely, rye, spelt, and a few other grains or I will become ill. I usually pick up-scale places where I can chat up the chef and feel confident that they don't highly flour-and-crumb-contaminated kitchen!
For Friday night we'll probably go to Il Fornellos (sp?)... they actually have gluten free options on their menu.
For Sat night we want to go to a very nice place with interesting 'new cuisine', but is not TOO expensive (ie not susur or canoe). Maybe $20-25ish entrees?
And we hope to visit the shoe and/or textile museum, maybe the art museum, and perhaps spend some time browsing around eaton center. Any nice lunch places in those areas? A Bistro, perhaps? We are also big seafood fans.
I haven't been to your lovely city since 1987! I am looking forward to our visit and will cross my fingers for not-too-cold March weather!
