First...thanks to all who provided the tips on how to deep fry the bird....fire extinguishers were on hand...no bare skin for the chef...dog locked in the house, and away we went. It was superb! It was injected with marinade (a whole jar) and rubbed (little on the salty side, but oh soooo good). A 12 pounder was in for 40 minutes, rested for 15 or so and devoured in 10!!! As someone said...this could be the ONLY way to eat turkey.
