Although I didn't post asking for recommendations, I did plenty of research here (and at saucecafe.com, a great resource), and want to thank the St. Louis chowhounds for helping me out on a recent parents weekend trip (Wash U). A brief report:
Dinner at O'Connells: My wife and I can't remember having a better burger and onion rings. Truly outstanding. Great atmosphere, too.
Brunch (twice) at the Majestic: a fine place, nothing unusual, but everything the way it should be for breakfast.
Dinner at Gian-Tony's: Unfortunately, the one disappointment. Maybe I just don't like old style Italian, or maybe we ordered the wrong dishes, but the food didn't do anything for me. I enjoyed going to The Hill, and the service was great, so we had a nice evening.
Thanks again to all who post here about St. Louis.
