I don't know if anyone can help me with this, but the boy and I are stuck in suburban Philadelphia, land of the cheesesteak, and pining away for food that is spicy and interesting.
We cook for a houseful of people & were hoping to recreate the Sripraphai fish dish that is called something like "steamed tilapia or mudfish with ginger" that comes in a broth with sour tamarind, celery and some other stuff we can't think of right now. Hot and sour. Delicious.
So if any of you Outer Boroughs folk have eaten this dish recently and can think of anything (ingredients, special notes, etc.) that would jog our memories and/or help us put this thing together, I'd love to hear about it.
Any help is much appreciated.
