While visiting New York a few years ago we dined at a lovely Italian restaurant in the theatre district. I believe it was in the high 40's off 8th Ave, but not positive. It had a small patio off the back of the restaurant with 8 or so tables. The menu was light with homemade pastas and wonderful entrees (my father in law enjoyed a phenomenal soft-shell crab entree special).
I'm sure there are several places that fit the bill but I'm hoping an NY-based chowhound can help me remember the name of this place since we'll be in the city next weekend and would love to return to this restaurant.
