Went for lunch today...1 word: FANFRIGGINTASTIC! About time they put something this original around! Too bad I start a new job in Port Chester but I'll have to go back for dinner some time. They only have 15 tables, so reservations are recommended on weekends. I had the "L3"--I think Pad Kra Prow? Anyways, chicken w/ typical Thai veggies over jasmine rice. Mmmmm, so delish!!!
My colleagues had the L2 (maybe like a Pa Nang?) which was a choice of meat with coconut milk and red curry, so it was the broth style.
Most lunch specials were $10 w/ a choice of soup/salad/roll. I had the Tom Yum Gai. Perfectly made w/ a nice spicey aftertaste.
I wanna try the papaya salad next time! Only thing is, my dish had a little red pepper next to it on the menu, but it was still rather mild. You really have to specify to kick it up a notch, Thai spicey. Well ok, maybe not THAT much a la the Queens places like Sripraphai. They have a few whole fish options too. So many yummy looking items. This is a TRUE Chow destination!
I can't remember the names of the dishes but there seem to be plenty to choose from...I don't think the place has been mentioned here yet, even though it's been open for about 3 months, so I'll just say...FIRST!!! Ha ha...
Oh and will this stop me from going to Srip or other Queens favorites like Arunee or Zabb? I don't think so but it's sure nice to know that there's something like this in the area now!!!
