I'm spending a lot of time in Toronto this month and tired of eating Drinkey McFriday O'Harrigans Kegback type crap; how many chicken sandwiches can one man stand?
I usually stay near 400 and 407 or the airport; have ended up at Le Biftheque near the Marriott a couple of times which was adequate but dead. Would like to find somewhere more interesting and happening without having to drive downtown if I can help it. A place where I can get a couple of decent martinis would also be super.
Also, if any other business travellers next week are up for a Chowhound dinner let me know.
Any ethnic type fare is fine; my primary concern is finding a place where the solo diner doesn't look too much like a freak.
No hockey this year? What are they showing on bar TV instead?
