Hi! Does anyone know of a place that has GREAT Boysenberry, Ollalaberry, or Blackberry pie that is EITHER less sweet than your average pie, --OR-- is naturally sweetened with fruit juice or grain sweeteners? Example: Walker's Pies on Solano In Albany in the Bay Area has great traditional style(i.e.: with sugar in it) berry pie that is less sweet than your average pie, lots of berries in it & a great taste[not as good as my grandmas, but hey, its good...]; -- I could even go for less sweet, but to find something as good as Walkers would be great! WHEREAS Polly's Pies on the corner of Wilshire & 5th St. in Santa Monica has overly sweet pie that also has very few berrys, lowsy(sp?) crust, & not much taste.
Mani's Bakery on Main St. in Santa Monica has a good health-food style 'mixed berry' pie; tastes kinda wheaty & very unsweet/like food, --but is actually nice,-- sort of a breakfast foody pie: but the problem is it has peaches & other things in it that are not JUST BERRY & 'that' is disappointing.

Oh please help this berry pie addict!
Thanx!
