Verdict: Pasadena finally has some decent Spanish cuisine! Great food and warm service, located in a charming space in Old Town on Green Street (the former Tre Venezie spot). I really liked this place.

Highlights include Soldaditos de Pavia (salt cod fritters with lemon cream), Croquetas de Pollo (chicken croquettes with membrillo & goat cheese) , Pulpo a la Gallega (beer-braised octopus with fingerling potatoes & pimenton), Pintxo Setas (wild mushrooms, white bean puree & sweet sherry on house-made bread), Fideua Negra (squid ink pasta with mussels & poached quali egg), Cochinillo (daily pork preparation; on the day I went, it was braised pork belly with sweet white corn reduction), and Arroz con Gambas (crispy whole spot prawn served on lobster rice & bouillabaisse).
