Looking for a quiet restaurant

DoubleMan | Feb 9, 2006 01:23 PM

I have a strange challenge.

I'm looking for a good QUIET restaurant, and not one that's quiet because it's empty. One of the guests will be having an ear operation soon, so he can't deal with loud restaurants (places like Via Matta or Teatro are obviously out).

I like loud restaurants, so I'm clueless when it comes to quiet places.

Preferably downtown or within a few T stops, the North End would also be fine. A place that wouldn't require a reservation would be ideal. And it should be less than $50 per person, including tax, tip, and alcohol.

Thanks.
