So, I've got 2 sets of parents flying in on Thursday, one in the morning, one in the afternoon (4:00 pm). At 7:30 in the evening, we've going to a concert. I'm working all day, splitting home early, but my husband is off all day (and doing airport runs).
The idea is to have something quick, somewhat light but satisfying before the concert at our place. These are meet and potatoes kind of eaters but at least 3/4 of them are decently adventurous eaters.
So, it has to be easy and require little prep or at least be prep-able the night before. I'm planning on some good pate and baguette, a cheese or two, olives, and spiced and toasted almonds. But, I'd like a little something more substantial without being heavy or fussy.
