I am meeting friends around 5:00 on Saturday after they attend a choral workshop at Academy of Vocal Arts. They need to catch a train around 7:15, so they wanted to meet me for "a drink and a nibble." I was thinking Tria might be perfect for this as it is not far from AVA and I've been wanting to try it.
I know they don't take reservations, but will we have much of a wait around 5:00-5:15? We want to have time to sit, order, eat, and chat a bit before they have to dash off for 30th St Station. I know it is a short time frame, but I've not had chance to see these people in nearly a year, so we want to get together somehow.
Also, I enjoy cheese, but haven't really done the "dining-out-cheese-experience" before. So, is it appropriate to order some "nibbles" and maybe pannini and a cheese selection all together, or does one always order cheese as a separate final course? My friends and I like to order a number of things all at once and munch and sample away on everything while we chat, but I don't want to seem crass. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I truly don't know cheese etiquette, if that is the proper term. I am looking forward to trying Tria!
