I've moved from the bay area and miss many of the favorites I grew up with so I am hoping I can get some help here.
The gravy they put on the taters at the Merritt Restaurant...the kind that comes with the chicken, not the brown gravy...is it a bacon gravy? It's not chicken gravy I don't think. I
remember finding bits of bacon or ham in it, and what looked like and tasted like green onion
What do you say?
Also, anyone have a similar pancake recipe to theirs? They were so thick but light with a great slightly sweet flavor that I haven't found elsewhere.
