We went to Peach Farm last night for the soft-shelled crabs, which were outstanding. I was surprised, however, when the check came and we were charged more for both items we ordered than the prices listed on the menu. When I questioned the price differential, I was told that the crabs were subjected to seasonal pricing and they hadn't had time to change the menus, an explanation that made sense to me. The hostess also pointed to the disclaimer at the bottom of the menu that says prices are subject to change without notice.
The second item was the buddah's delight, which should not be subjected to seasonal pricing. The staff made the adjustment and charged me the price listed on the menu.
On the way home I noticed the entire take-out menu carries the "prices subject to change without notice" disclaimer.
My question for the Peach Farm regulars is did I catch a rare error or are Peach Farm's prices a moving target?
