I tried making this great lime/basil cocktail at home. I made simple syrup for the first time and I steeped it with basil .The recipe called for a whole bunch of basil...and some left over in the fridge and thought I would give it a try. IT is a great cocktail mixed with gin. My question is: Can I reheat the simple syrup and add more basil to it and steep again? I did not have enough at home...and I do not want to waste the syrup I already made. What do you think?
