New to this board... Hello! I just purchased a Chef's Choice 645 slicer, and it seems solid, but I was very surprised at how slowly the blade spins. I would guess about 2 revs per second. I know it ain't no Hobart, but that seems killer slow. Before I start cutting (and dirtying it up), can any other owners of similar slicers tell me if this is normal? Thanks.
Also, is there a better place for this post? Equipment somewhere?
