Pulled Pork Sandwich at Jazz Standard/Blue Smoke

Had a wonderful pulled pork sandwich there last night that I keep thinking about. I'm no 'cue expert, so I can't vouch for authenticity, but the meat was smoky and flavorful. It had just enough fat for richness, but somehow didn't seem heavy. There was a nice amount of thinly sliced (pulled?) meat piled on a really tasty brioche-y-type roll, which was shiny (egg-glazed) and very fresh-tasting. This was accompanied by crispy coleslaw that was creamy/vinegary/peppery, and perhaps a tad too sweet for my taste, but a good foil for the sandwich anyway. There were good tart pickle slices on the side as well.

I was there for a jazz show, and while I enjoyed that, I found it hard to concentrate on the music, w/that plate of meaty goodness in front of me! At $9.95, it was a good deal, IMHO.

Yum.
