Pudwill Berry Farm, why do you suck?

First, let me say that Pudwill grows some exceptional mission figs.

But how is it possible that these guys keep charging obscene prices for berries that aren't even as tasty as what I can buy at Whole Foods . . . for less money!

As I see it, their only positive is that they always have berries. Always. But if there is any other vendor selling berries at the market they are, without exception, better than what Pudwill is selling. Even when conditions and weather conspire to make it technically impossible to grow bad berries, another vender is growing sweeter, more interesting berries and charging less for them.

Maybe we can build a groundswell here and another, more worthy, berry vendor will be able to squeeze into the always competitive market space. I don't know. Perhaps not. If I can prevent one more person from overpaying for bitter, tart, unripe berries then that's something, I guess.
