Had dinner at Prune the other night and it was delicious! At 10:00 p.m. the place was stil packed and they were still seating at 11:00. The only reservation I could get three days in advance was 10:00. They were turning away people so make sure you call in advance. We started with fried oysters which were just okay. They were a little too breaded for my taste. We also had the hearts of palm, celery, and radish salad that was really good. I think it would be simple to make at home. My husband had the whole fish of the day which was durad (sp) and I had the sweetbreads. It was a small order, but because of it's richness it was enough. The server suggested I have a bitter green salad with it. They complimented each other well. I was full, but not stuffed or nauseous. For desert we had an almond poundcake with cardamom ice cream. The poundcake was dry, but the ice cream and the almonds we great. It was a great meal and I look forward to going back. They serve wine now and assorted drinks (i.e. mohito, rum dacquiri, cosmo, etc)
