Just returned from annual trip to Provincetown.
Based on the recommendations on this board I ate at Blackfish in Truro. The appetizers -- buttermilk fried oysters, pickled and golden beet salad, tuna tartare (not my favorite) -- were all cooked perfectly. Main dishes varied. The stripped bass special was overcooked and dry but the haddock and pork were delicious. The real winner was the neiman ranch bacon cheeseburger with homemade potato chips. We ended with the blueberry tart with sour cream sorbet -- really great.
On a more budget note, we were delighted to find the Caribbean Cafe in Provincetown (towards the west end past Spiritus), a absolutely terrific Venezuelan spot with a fabulous breakfast with egg stuffed arepas and yummy dinner (chicken curry, Venezuelan tacos). A great spot in a food desert.
