Portobello's in Wakefield- Where are the People?

Went to Portobello's last night. WE arrived about 7 pm-and there was only one other party in the restaurant. Waiter was personable- brought over bread and oil. The bread was just ok- but the dipping oil was great-spicy hot. The menu is extensive- veal, chicken, pork, fish, shellfish, pasta, steak. We really did not know what we wanted, so we asked the waiter what was goodd. He suggested two of the specials- the a chicken dish and the swordfish. For an appetizer, we split a bruschetta. Four pieces- two with tomato, two with portabello mushrooms, and one with cheese. WOnderful. The portabellos were earthy- and even the tomatoes were good- just a bit of oil and garlic.
We went with his suggestions on the entrees. I got the chicken dish- but it was much more than chicken. Pieces of chicken, shrimp and whole clams served over rice. A hint of spiciness. The waiter told me the dish was spicy, but I would have preferred a bit more heat. Next time! My DC had the swordfish, and said it was great.
No dessert, as we were stuffed- and both had enough to take home for another meal. One appetizer, two entress and a botlle of wine came to $90.00 before tip.
Great meal- but I wonder where all the people are? They must be busy some nights- we asked the waiter, and he said they do have a lot of regular customers. I think I may become one of the regulars. There were lots of things on the menu that I want to try- one of the appetizers was a Portugese sausage served en flambe- gotta love it.
Any other hounds tried this place- and if so, was it almost empty?
