A Popcorn Named Indiana

Many upper-westsiders have lamented the demise of Pug Brothers on 73rd and Columbus. As far as I know, Pug has not resurfaced in any form, but recently Popcorn, Indiana opened at 2170 Broadway (76th St.).

P.I. offers four types of popcorn: air-popped natural; cheddar cheese; caramel; and chocolate drizzled caramel.

P.I. has a website, and sells merchandise as if it were already a chain. Maybe a little more attention should be made to the popcorn itself. I tried the cheese popcorn and was disappointed. The cheese was too assertive for my taste, and I quickly tired of the overload.

Has anyone else tried the other varieties? I find it a little surprising that they don't offer "conventional" oil-popped plain corn.
