Five Points Brunch

Finally made it to Five Points for Sunday brunch. What a beautiful interior, very pleasant with the stream running through the middle and the open wood oven kitchen. Our appetizers were terrific but unfortunately the highlight of our meal. A simple basket of breakfast rolls and biscuits was surprisingly good and the ricotta fritters were unbelievable. They were like round zeppoles but with cheese.Served with apples.Very light and delicious. My wife ordered the basted eggs with sausage made with pork, sage and apple. It was good but the apple flavor gave it an unusual taste.Did not work that well.I was feeling carniverous so ordered their cheeseburger with cheddar and bacon. The bun was very good but the meat had very little flavor and, surprisingly, the cheese and bacon were also a little bland.I would go back again but stick with some of the breakfast dishes. We saw some terrific food being brought to other tables, especially the french toast.Overall I liked Five Points but probably did not order the best dishes for our tastes.
