Pleasantly Surprised @ Eagle's Landing Table Mountain Casino/Friant

We were in need of a place to celebrate an 18th birthday and thought this might be a good place. I had been several times in the past, but not within a year or so. We were pleasantly surprised on the quality of the food and how good it was for a casino type place. After eating our way around Sonoma Valley for two days, I was very spoiled.

There were 9 in our group and we were seated in the back in a private room with just one other large party. Very nice. The hit here is the lobster! For $12.99 you can add a lobster tail to any of your entrees. I chose the prime rib that came with a nice, fresh green salad and a baked potato and steamed green beans. The lobster was perfectly prepared and very, very good.

Other hits were the Captain's Platter for $19.99 that included lobster, crab legs, shrimp, corn on the cob and green beans. Three of the kids ordered this and loved it. This platter also included some very good desserts. They brought out a complimentary birthday sundae and my son's GF ordered the cremee brulee that we laughed about because the custard was about the consistency of tapioca pudding. I introduced her to creme brulee about a year ago and she orders it every time it's on the menu now. The waitress gladly took it back and substituted it for a very good decadent chocolate layer cake.

Other entrees included spaghetti and meatballs, fettucini alfredo, and a couple of New York steaks. Everyone was happy, we had a great time and they are also included in the Entertanment Book for $14 off of your total bill. I would recommend this place if you're in the area or just playing around at the casino. Cheers! ***kim***
