Pizzeria Delfina II (Fillmore)

Agrippa | Feb 26, 2009 07:11 AM

Tried Pizzeria Delfina II fillmore location for lunch.
Overall, the food is the same as the mission location, but with some additional items like housemade ice cream.

I ordered Sardines 'En Soar', Pizza Marg,, and the ice cream.

The sardines were amazing, one of the best seafood dishes I've had ever, they are worth the trip alone.
The sardines marinated in a vinegar 'soar' sauce, that is similar to a mexican 'escabeche', that compliments the delicate fish well.

Although I enjoyed my pizza, it was not as good as the ones I've had at the mission location, mostly because parts of the crush was mushy.

The ice cream was kind've of a joke for $5, the stuff was hard as a rock and lacked flavor.
I was kind've suprised how over priced and uninspiring it turned out.

It is a good addition to the hood, but they need to work on the details, and do something about that ice cream.
