Pit Stop BBQ review (Dorchester, not too far from JP)

After posting the question last weekend, I decided to try it myself Friday night.

It's a takeout business. Tiny little store-front, perhaps 2 tables + a counter. Menu seemed to have all the standard BBQ mains + sides. Two of us were eating. We got:

* A half-slab of BBQ Pork Ribs. These were quite tasty, with a decent amount of meat on them. I didn't think the BBQ sauce was particularly exciting, but it was ok and the meat was great. The sauce is on the sweet side.

* A half BBQ chicken. Came with the same BBQ sauce. The chicken was done perfectly - some crisp skin beneath the sauce, and the meat was still moist.

*A side of collard greens. Excellent!

*A side of Mac and Cheese. Also great. Very tasty. Noodles were on the mushy side, but that's what I expect in a BBQ joint.

The total bill was around $24. We were well fed, stuffed in fact, with a few ribs going into the fridge for the next day.

They are basically open on weekends only -- I think the days were Thursday through Sunday, but I could be wrong. Best to call in advance and make sure they're open:
