The PIG BBQ at Citywalk

If you have had a chance to visit Citywalk recently, you will notice that they have replaced the Jerry's Deli with a PIG BBQ outlet in the main food court. I live close to the mothership location on La Brea, and I have never tried it. Their local access commercials have always sparked an interest so I decided to go and try it at the Citywalk location at lunch. I opted for the pulled pork sandwich and an order of fried pickle chips.

Sandwich was overwhelmingly dry and without much sauce. I went to the sauce bar to get a few containers of their sauces available (reg bbq, spicy hot, spicy hot vinegar, sweet mustard). I put on some of the spicy hot to help things out just a little, but it really didn't do much. Ho hum overall. The pickle chips were alright, but missing that tang I expect from deep fried pickles. At $5 an order I came out on the short end quantity wise. 10 bucks for my lunch that left me hungry and underwhelmed.

I will try the LaBrea restaurant someday.....
