I had mentioned a week or two ago that I had some great pho in Chiinatown, but couldn't remember the name of the restaurant. Just went back today, it's simply called Noodles, Vietnamese Restaurant, it is at 2336 S. Wentworth. I think the pho is terrific. It's great for carryout because they package the broth, noodles and meat, and veggies each separately, so you can take it home and warm it up a couple hours later if you like (which is what I did tonight for dinner).
I haven't eaten a lot of pho, so if anyone has been to Noodles and has an opinion about how it compares to other places, I'd be interested.
Also, now that I am hooked on going to Chinatown to pick up pho, what else should I be buying and eating? I bought some sesame balls today at a bakery, they were cold and a bit greasy-- warm sesame balls are sooo wonderful-- any suggestions where to get them? Other carryout items not to miss?
