Hey - my hubby and I are going to Philly March 16, 17 & 18, 2002, and I don't want to go to the tourist places to eat. I read Philly Magazine, and I'm scared of Striped Bass and Le Bec Fin - they sound too hoity-toity for us. We believe meat should taste like meat, not Hollandaise sauce or glaze or something. Besides, I get the forks mixed up. We have been told to go to Pat's and Geno's for the cheesesteaks, but there must be some other good grub in Philly besides a "Whiz wit wit". We aren't picky about the cost of the meal, we're not wine connoiseurs, we like almost anything, and some of our interests are swing music and dancing, blues, jazz (we were told about Warmdaddy's and Zanzibar), but we need MORE PLACES from which to choose. Actually, the vacation is a reward to my hubby for losing 50 lbs. His goal is to gain it back in three days. (I hope he's kidding about that part...)
SO.... we are open to any and all suggestions.
Thanks, in advance, for your input.
