philipino food at serramonte shopping center

Has anyone eaten at Manila Bay Cuisine at the serramonte shopping center? I was in the area for shopping, and was wandering around the food court. There were many of the usual mall food places, but Manila Bay stood out. First of all, the people behind the counter were speaking tagalog to the people buying food. Second, there were a few fried fish heads available for purchase. This is unheard of in the world of mall food. Third, I didn't recognize half the dishes on the menu (which is a good thing because I haven't eaten all that much philipino food).

I tried what the woman behind the counter called a philipino chicken tamale. This tamale was square shaped and wrapped in a banana leaf. The filling was chicken and hard-boiled egg. The part that would normally be made from masa in a mexican tamale was made from i-dunno-what in this one. It was much smoother, similar to turnip cake but not gummy, and could possibly be ground rice. Very interesting - while I probably wouldn't order it again, I would definitely try something else the next time I'm in the area.
