Called late on a Sunday about getting a table( our fault). Should've been wary when the hostess said she would have to check with the chef before taking our reservation. "Get here as soon as you can" we were told. Seated at a sloping table in one of the side rooms, had to ask for another table.
Reminded several times that we were the last table, but "don't feel uncomfortable." Waiter standing in doorway during each course, I guess to encourage a little speed on our part. The worst was when some other waitstaff started to put things way( ice buckets, etc.) on the shelves located about 12 feet from our table while we were having our main course.
The food was top-notch, but in a fine-dining establishment, I expect to be treated a little more graciously. The hostess should have said "sorry, not taking any more reservations" if it was too much trouble.We had better service at Mad Batter and Jackson Mt Cafe. We look forward to trying Tisha's next time we're in Cape May.
