I'm so happy for Peche being named Best New Restaurant in America, and its chef, Ryan Prewitt, getting the nod for Best Chef - Southeast, by the James Beard Foundation! Ryan has (relatively) quietly made his mark on New Orleans' restaurant scene, first for years as Chef de Cuisine at Herbsaint and now launching Peche to wide acclaim. So very happy for him--and Sue Zemanick of Gautreau's/Ivy, who shared the Best Chef award with Ryan. Nice that both were recognized.
So, my dear karendor: better book a LOT earlier for your spot at Peche next time you grace us with your presence!
