A few weeks ago I asked about places to go for my anniversary where one can sit outdoors (and not L'Auberge Chez Francois) and received the recommendation for Patowmack Farm. We went there this past Friday.
Despite the rain (maybe Washington state is taking over Washington D.C.), my wife and I had a marvelous time sitting in the tent in the country. I definitely appreciated the fact that there was only one seating and the number of people there was limited. The food was very good and very fresh. They were quite willing to accomodate special requests (my wife is allergic to strawberries and they removed the strawberries from the planned dessert). The chef came around afterwords to talk with all the diners -- something I definitely appreciated.
I would definitely recommend it for anyone willing to make the drive (the place is about 15 minutes north of Leesburg) for a country experience quite unlike a typical D.C. area restaurant.
The link below has the place's website. They are already booked through June.
