Had a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner at Passionfish -- great food all around, but the absolute highlight for me was the brussels sprouts salad.
Thinly shaved brussels sprouts, warm concord grapes, diced korobuta ham, and shavings of ricotta salata. The combination of the grapes and the sprouts was incredible -- the sweetness of the grapes brought out all the subtle sweetness of the sprouts, and melded perfectly with the sprouts' slight bitterness. The tastes didn't contrast -- they melded into an unified taste that transcended the sum of its parts.
The ham and ricotta salata added some nice rich saltiness, but they weren't the stars here.
