Thank you to all that made suggestions for my recent trip to Paris - just wanted to recap with some quick reviews.
Le Cing - AMAZING!!! I can’t imagine any other 3 star restaurants getting any better than this. The room is stunningly beautiful; the service is refined yet effortless. The staff were amazingly unstuffy and relaxed yet true professionals. My dinning partner was delighted at the stool that was presented for her handbag.
We chose the Gourmet tasting menu and were going to go with the accompanying wines, but were led to believe that that might be overkill. It was suggested, and we went along with, a grand cru Chablis for the seafood courses, a heartier red for the red meat course, and a dessert wine to finish. Every course was better than the previous. We even thought about returning the two nights later for dinner again....but decided to save it for our next trip.
Grand Colbert - Yes, we went there because of the movie! A complete disapointment!!! The food was uninspired and bland. The service rushed and unfriendly.
Au Bon Accuill - Thank you for this gem of a recommendation. After visiting the Eiffel Tower we strolled over here for dinner. The small and intimate room has a warm and elegant feel. The staff was wonderful and the food beautifully executed and presented. And by Parisian standards....quite reasonable.
