My favorite entree at Pearl has always been the pan-fried fish sandwich (available only at lunch). I've always much preferred the grouper to the cod. I think you could put shards from the New York Post inside the Sullivan St. Bakery ciabatta with that homemade tartar sauce and it would taste good.
When the price of grouper kept increasing last year, Rebecca used the cod much more and I started going there for lunch less often.
Today, the offering was pan-fried halibut, and it was superb -- SO much better than the cod, almost as good as the grouper. With a Caesar salad and a side of snap peas, I was in heaven.
