Palms/Culver City markets

My wife and I just moved to Palms (just north of Culver City) from New York and we are trying to get the lay of the land, food-wise. It seems like there are some good Indian markets on Venice Blvd., but I need to know where the nearest Chinese/Vietnamese/Thai markets are ASAP! Also, does anyone know of a decent fish market nearby? The phone book only lists one: the Santa Monica Seafood Co on Colorado. We went the other day, and while the fish was good, the prices were too high and the people were way too good-looking. It's also too far away. Where's a nice piece of three-day-old tilapia and a toothless grin when you need it?

P.S. Any restaurant recommendations in the Palms area would be greatly appreciated, too. We feel totally overwhelmed by this new world of chow...
