Pakistani/Indian/Himalayan Renton

A change in ownership and restaurant name has transformed the former Curry Pot/BBQ hut into the Spirit of India. It's one of the more unusual Indian places in the Seattle area...Penelope Corcoran of the P-I rated the saag one of the best dishes she ate in 2003, and it is one of a kind...aromatic and spicy and addictive...Lots of kabobs...salad, rice, naan, and papadams come with every meal..Diners are given a choice in hotness, unusual in Indian restuarants, and the hot is not for the timid.
All in all, it's right up there as being one of my current favorite Indian joints, and between it's freshness, spiciness, and reasonable prices, it's worth at least one visit...Just east of Burnett on 3rd in beautiful downtown Renton.
