I'm a long time regular of the Mongolian BBQ located at the southwest corner
of north Lamar and Rundberg. The former owners, Judy & Allen Chung took
excellent care of me and made me feel at home. I routinely ate there 2-3
times a week (yes, a week). However, they've since retired and you new
folks are screwing up a good formula: tasty food at cheap prices. It seems
you're trying to move upscale, with a new sushi bar and expanded menu.
That's commendable, but you've raised the prices 20-30% and will probably
drive away all your loyal customers in the process. It's important to
remember you're located in a run-down strip mall in a shabby part of town.
People simply aren't going to want to spend $15-$20 for a dinner in that
type of location. Also, the price hike has screwed up the simple flat
pricing of before, where everything included sales tax and was rounded up to
the nearest dollar or half-dollar. I realize it's trendy now to pay
everything with a credit card, but for those Luddites like me, who still pay
cash for most things, that simplicity was very much appreciated. I like
your new tablecloths and Asian paper lanterns, but what happened to the
seahorse aquarium? Also, making the rice self-serve is really annoying.
Please go back to serving it along with the pita bread.
